Located in Milford, NH. Owner had used the chipper, shut it down, cleaned it off for transport, and it caught fire while being pulled on the road. It was driven to the nearest fire department and extinguished with water.
2001 Morbark 30/36 whole tree chipper with cab and Morlift 150 loader, 30” wide infeed live floor with 22” diameter top feed drum, 36” chipper drum with 6 chipper knives, powered by a John Deere RG6125A diesel engine. A 2,700 hours according to owner. Tandem axles with 16" dual steel wheels, LT245/75 R16 tires @ 30%-80%.
Damages were sustained to the engine fan & hub, belt tensioners, alternator, AC compressor, front cover gaskets, all engine water lines and heater lines to cab, AC lines, main hydraulic feed lines to pumps, 1 pump, lines to discharge chute and hydraulic tank, engine wiring harnesses, control monitor wiring, cab wiring, chassis light wiring, starter wiring, switches, sensors, relays, and possible ECM, and air intake pipes & cleaner because of fire.
